About Alagar koyil

Alagar koyil is located in Madurai district inside the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The records and residing of the village is targeted round Kallazhagar Temple. Constructed inside the Dravidian style of structure, the temple is glorified inside the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the sixth–ninth centuries AD. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu, who's worshipped as Kallazhagar and his consort Lakshmi as Thirumamagal. Kallazhagar temple covers an area of approximately 2 acres and has a 5-tiered gopuram.
The temple in enclosed in a rectangular enclosure with huge granite partitions. The relevant shrine homes the photograph of the presiding deity, Sundarabahu Perumal in standing posture. The pics of Sridevi and Bhudevi are also housed within the sanctum. There two lifestyles length photographs of Narasimha, the avatar of Vishnu. One of them is proven conserving the demon Hiranya and different slaying him.
