About Birla Mandir

Birla Mandir is one of the well known points of interest of Hyderabad. Birla Mandir, worked by Birla, is situated on a hillock called Kala Pahad, which is at a separation of around 2 km from Hyderabad city. It committed to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala Tirupati Temple, is made of white marble brought from Rajasthan. The building style of the sanctuary is a mix of North Indian and South Indian styles of sanctuary architecture. The sanctuary tower or the 'Gopuram' shows the remarkable highlights of South Indian sanctuaries. The Jagadananda vimanam worked on the sanctum sanctorum looks like the Oriya style of sanctuary architecture. The flagstaff of the sanctuary which has a tallness of 42 feet is made of metal. Scenes from the stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata are unpredictably cut on the dividers and roofs of the sanctuary.
