Kozhikode

Kozhikode or Calicut, is a city in the territory of Kerala in southern India on the Malabar Coast. Calicut is the biggest urban territory in the state and 192nd biggest urban zone in the world. The city lies around 275 kilometers 171 mi west of Bangalore. Amid established vestige and the Middle Ages, Kozhikode was named the "City of Spices" for its part as the real exchanging purpose of eastern spices. It was the capital of a free kingdom controlled by the Samoothiris Zamorins in the Middle Ages and later of the past Malabar District under British run the show.
