About Shimla Toy Train Ride

“Toy train ride” is definitely the most tranquil journey in the queens of hill Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh. Included in the UNESCO’s world heritage list in Mountain railways of India, the toy train has the most spectacular views and chilly breeze. Although the trains runs at the slow speed of 25-30 km/h, passes through 102 tunnels, around 870 bridges and more than 20 stations on its way.
The train route passes through beautiful valley and hills and most of the time moves in upward direction throughout its journey. The best train in this line is Shivalik Deluxe Express which starts in the early morning from Kalka. This legendary ride was originally build to ferry the British officers indeed is an experience to rejuvenate one’s mind and soul.
